| Human EGF is produced by genetically engineered yeast, and purified by sequential chromatography and reverse-phase HPLC. This polypeptide is identical to gamma-urogastrone, or equivalent to human. Source: EGF1-52 Biological Activity: The mitogenic activity of human EGF is measured by the stimulation of 3H-thymidine incorporation into human foreskin fibroblast cells. In addition, EGF activity has been determined by a receptor-binding assay (RBA) using A-431 cells. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Reconstitute to with sterile dH2O or buffer, aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
