Interleukin-11 (IL-11) is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor which stimulates the growth and survivability of certain B cells and T cells. Human IL-11 is a 19.1kD protein containing 178 amino acid residues. Recombinant protein corresponding to human IL-11 expressed in E. coli. Biological Activity: The ED50 was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine T11 cells is 2ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 5x10e5 units/mg.
