New Anti-Influenza A/B Antibodies

Rabbit monoclonal anti-Influenza antibodies from GeneTex

New recombinant Anti-Influenza A/B Antbodies from GeneTex

Influenza A and B viruses are two viruses that have caused seasonal influenza, epidemics, and even pandemic for Influenza A.

GeneTex has released three clones each for Influenza A and B Nucleoproteins, the nucleoprotein is conserved in different variants therefore a suitable target for detecting the virus antigen.

  • The antibodies can work as ELISA pairs and showed a low picomolar range sensitivity
  • At least sixteen FLUAV strains and nine FLUBV strains can be detected by ELISA and western blot, including H1N1 and H3N2 subtypes

Recombinant Nucleoprotein antibodies are validated for sandwich ELISA.

GeneTex’s Nucleoprotein antibodies have been tested for sandwich ELISA using recombinant nucleoproteins, and showed a low picomolar range sensitivity. The Flu A pairs can detect at least 16 strains of virus lysates, and the Flu B pairs have been tested on 7 strains of virus lysates. The Influenza A antibodies showed no cross reactivity to Influenza B, and the Influenza B antibodies showed no cross reactivity to Influenza A.

Figure 1. Detection of FLUAV and FLUBV NPs in sELISA assays. Recombinant NPs derived from different strains of influenza A virus and influenza B virus were assayed using (A) FLUAV NP antibodies GTX636318 and GTX636247 (as a pair), or (B) FLUBV NP antibodies GTX636099 and GTX636100 (as a pair).

Figure 2. Analysis of influenza virus strains. Sandwich ELISA detects NPs in lysates from cells infected with different strains of (A) influenza A virus subtype H1N1 or (B) subtype H3N2 using FLUAV NP antibodies GTX636318 and GTX636247 (as a pair), or (C) influenza B virus using FLUBV NP antibodies GTX636099 and GTX636100 (as a pair). (D) The FLUAV NP antibody GTX636199 recognizes NPs of various FLUAV subtypes in infected-cell lysates by western blot.
