MRP2 is a 170-180kD transmembrane protein known as the canalicular multi-organic anion transporter, absent in patients with the Dubin-Johnson syndrome, an autosomal recessive liver disorder characterized by chronic conjugated hyperbilirubinemia. MRP2 is closely related to the multidrug resistance related protein MRP, and MRP2 overexpression has been observed in a subset of cisplatin resistant cell lines. Has potential value for detection of MRP2-mediated drug-resistance in human tumor samples. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Acetone fixed frozen): 1:20 Immunocytochemistry: 1:20-1:50 on acetone fixed cytospin preparations. Western Blot: 1:20-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
