The original antibody was generated by immunizing llamas with a cocktail of murine and human Toll-like receptors (TLRs) that contained recombinant human TLR4/MD2, recombinant human TLR3, recombinant murine TLR3, and recombinant murine TLR2/Fc chimera. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells were isolated from the animals blood for the construction of a phage display library, and the library was panned against the TLRs used for immunization.
