The original antibody was generated by immunizing XenoMouse with human uPAR expressed on the surface of B cells. Recovered lymphocytes from hyperimmunized mice are fused with a myeloid-type cell line to prepare immortal hybridoma cell lines. Antibodies from the cell supernatants are then screened by ELISA for reactivity against the uPAR immunogen.
