MCP-5/CCL12 protein promotes CCR2 chemokine receptor binding and contributes to physiological processes such as angiogenesis, inflammation, and monocyte chemotaxis. It is located extracellularly and is widely expressed in tissues such as the central nervous system. CCL12 attracts eosinophils, monocytes, and lymphocytes but not neutrophils, and it is a potent monocyte active chemokine that signals through CCR2, and involved in allergic inflammation and the host response to pathogens and may play a pivotal role during early stages of allergic lung inflammation.

Application Notes:
Cross-Reactivity: Centrifuge the vial before opening. Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL in sterile distilled water. Avoid vortex or vigorously pipetting the protein. For long term storage,it is recommended to add a carrier protein or stablizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA,5% HSA,10% FBS or 5% Trehalose),and aliquot the reconstituted protein solution to minimize free-thaw cycles., ResearchArea: Cytokines & Cytokine receptors
