A partial length recombinant Cadherin-17 protein (amino acids 238-446) was used as the immunogen for this antibody.
Alternative Names:
CDH17
Cadherin-17 (CDH17), acts as a unique member of cadherin family mediating cell-cell adhesion, expresses exclusively in human intestinal and pancreatic ductal epithelial cells, which is not supposed to be found in healthy stomach. This protein is also called LI (Liver Intestine) cadherin or HPT-1 (Human Peptide Transporter-1) and is a structurally unique member of the cadherin superfamily. Whereas the so-called classic cadherins, such as E-, N- and P-cadherin, have five cadherin repeats within the extracellular domain, CDH17 consists of seven cadherin repeats.
