TLR3/HEK293 Stable Cell Line is a stably transfected HEK293 cell line which expresses human Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3, also designated as CD283). TLR3 is known to localize in the endosomal compartment and mediates immune responses by recognition of double-stranded RNAs in endosomes, which leads to up-regulation of the interferon-alpha/beta and induction of antiviral protein synthesis activity. Note that TLR3 in the TLR3/HEK293 stable cell line contains the N-terminal HA tag (Figure 2), which does not interfere with TLR3 activity as confirmed by functional assay (Figure 1).
