Mutation in MAOA results in Brunner syndrome, in addition MAOA has also been linked with a diversity of other psychiatric disorders, which includes antisocial behavior. MAOA preferentially oxidizes biogenic amines such as 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT).MAOA Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 520 amino acids (1-497 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 58.8kDa. MAOA is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
