Product Description

Adiponectin Receptor 1 (AdipoR1) is a pivotal receptor mediating the metabolic effects of the adipokine adiponectin. AdipoR1 features seven transmembrane domains with an intracellular Nterminus and an extracellular Cterminus responsible for adiponectin binding. AdipoR1 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and can activate adenosine monophosphateactivated protein kinase (AMPK). This activation leads to the phosphorylation of ACC and the subsequent upregulation of CPT1A, which together critically enhance mitochondrial fatty acid betaoxidation. Dysfunction in this AdipoR1driven pathway is closely associated with impaired fatty acid oxidation and dyslipidemia.
