Cadherin3 (CDH3), also known as PCadherin, is a classical cadherin that functions as a calciumdependent glycoprotein mediating cellcell adhesion. Structurally, it is characterized by five extracellular cadherin repeats, a single transmembrane domain, and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. The CDH3 gene resides within a cadherin cluster on chromosome 16q, a genomic region linked to loss of heterozygosity in breast and prostate cancer. Furthermore, aberrant expression of the protein is implicated in the pathology of cervical adenocarcinoma. - Proteine/Peptide
