EV71, full name enterovirus 71, is a kind of human enterovirus, one of the main pathogens of infantile hand, foot and mouth disease, and can also cause herpangina and other diseases. In recent years, EV71 infection was the main cause of severe cases and deaths of HFMD reported in China. After maturation, capsid protein VP0 was cleaved into garment shell proteins VP4 and VP2. Capsid protein VP2 and VP1 together interact with host cell receptor SCARB2 to provide virion attachment to target host cells. - Proteine/Peptide
