APOL4 is a member of the apolipoprotein L family and may play a role in lipid exchange and transport throughout the body, as well as in reverse cholesterol transport from peripheral cells to the liver.

The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6783c was selected from the Center region of human APOL4. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
