HLA-DRA is one of the HLA class II alpha chain paralogues. This class II molecule is a heterodimer consisting of an alpha and a beta chain, both anchored in the membrane. It plays a central role in the immune system by presenting peptides derived from extracellular proteins. Class II molecules are expressed in antigen presenting cells (APC: B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages).

Form: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
Target: The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6799a was selected from the N-term region of human HLA-DRA. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
