Aspartoacylase, Aminoacylase-2, ACY-2, ASPA, ACY2, ASP
ASPA is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of N-acetyl_L-aspartic acid (NAA) to aspartate and acetate. NAA is abundant in the brain where hydrolysis by aspartoacylase is thought to help maintain white matter. This protein is an NAA scavenger in other tissues.
Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
Target:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6859a was selected from the N-term region of human ASPA. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
