GRK6 is a member of the guanine nucleotide-binding protein (G protein)-coupled receptor kinase subfamily of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. The protein phosphorylates the activated forms of G protein-coupled receptors thus initiating their deactivation.

The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP7008a was selected from the C-term region of human GRK6 . A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
