Macrophage inhibitory cytokine-1 (MIC-1) is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily, which is overexpressed in a variety of human cancers, including breast and gastric cancer.

Target:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP7299c was selected from the Center region of human MIC1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
