Megakaryocytopoiesis is the cellular development process that leads to platelet production. THPO is a humoral growth factor that is necessary for megakaryocyte proliferation and maturation, as well as for thrombopoiesis. It is the ligand for MLP/C_MPL, the product of myeloproliferative leukemia virus oncogene.
Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
Target:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP7557b was selected from the C-term region of human THPO. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
