ACTR3B plays a role in the organization of the actin cytoskeleton. It may function as ATP-binding component of the Arp2/3 complex which is involved in regulation of actin polymerization and together with an activating nucleation-promoting factor (NPF) mediates the formation of branched actin networks and may decrease the metastatic potential of tumors.

Target:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP8540b was selected from the C-term region of human ACTR3B. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
