Protein kinase C alpha type, PKC-A, PKC-alpha, PRKCA, PKCA, PRKACA
PRKCA is a calcium-activated, phospholipid-dependent, serine-and threonine-specific enzyme. It may play a role in cell motility by phosphorylating CSPG4. PKC is activated by diacylglycerol which in turn phosphorylates a range of cellular proteins. PKC also serves as the receptor for phorbol esters, a class of tumor promoters.
Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
Target:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP8576a was selected from the N-term region of human PRKCA. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
