Cystatin-S, Cystatin-4, Cystatin-SA-III, Salivary acidic protein 1, CST4
This protein strongly inhibits papain and ficin, partially inhibits stem bromelain and bovine cathepsin C, but does not inhibit porcine cathepsin B or clostripain. Papain is inhibited non-competitively.
Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
Target:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP8983c was selected from the Center region of human CST4. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
