LY75 acts as an endocytic receptor to direct captured antigens from the extracellular space to a specialized antigen-processing compartment. It causes reduced proliferation of B-lymphocytes.

Target:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP8994c was selected from the Center region of human LY75. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
