C7 is a component of the complement system. It participates in the formation of Membrane Attack Complex (MAC). People with C7 deficiency are prone to bacterial infection.

Target:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP9262c was selected from the Center region of human C7. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
