Danicopan can Selectively inhibits key complement factor D in the alternative pathway, blocking C3 convertase production and inhibiting alternative pathway activity. It also prevents the deposition of C3b fragments on blood erythrocytes and inhibits erythrocyte catabolism and extravascular hemolysis.
