Menisperine is a quaternary ammonium-type apofylline, derived from the rhizome of Bats kudzu, a plant of the Antiherbaceae family, and the bark of Phellodendron Bark, a plant of the Rutaceae family, etc. Menisperine has anti-tumour effects, stabilises the membrane structure of cells and maintains their metabolic functions, it has muscarinic, hypolipidemic and ganglionic blocking effects.
