Crocin II, isolated from the fruit of Gardenia jasminoides, has antioxidant, anticancer and antidepressant activities. Crocin II inhibited NO production with IC50 value of 31.1 µM. Crocin II inhibited the expression of iNOS and COX-2 protein and M-RNA.
