The CD8 beta chain associates with the CD8 alpha chain to form the CD8 alpha/beta heterodimer expressed on the surface of a majority of thymocytes, and on peripheral cytotoxic alpha beta TCR T cells. This monoclonal antibody identifies cytotoxic/suppressor T-cells that interact with MHC class I bearing targets. CD8 is thought to play a role in the process of T-cell mediated killing.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.
