Alternative Names:
Acetylcholine receptor-inducing activity (ARIA), Breast cancer cell differentiation factor p45, Glial growth factor (GGF2), Heregulin-1, Heregulin, alpha (45kD, ERBB2 p185-activator), HGL, HRG1, HRGA, MST131, Neu Differentiation Factor (NDF), Neuregulin-1, NRG1, Sensory and Motor Neuron-Derived Factor (SMDF)
Heregulin-1 is a membrane glycoprotein that mediates cell-cell signaling and plays a critical role in the growth and development of multiple organ systems. An extraordinary variety of different isoforms are produced from this gene through alternative promoter usage and splicing. These isoforms are expressed in a tissue-specific manner and differ significantly in their structure, and are classified as types I, II, III, IV, V and VI. Dysregulation of this gene has been linked to diseases such as cancer, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder (BPD). Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. CF Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF405S and CF405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.
ELISA: For coating, order Ab without BSA, Immunofluorescence: 1-2 ug/mL, Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.|Higher concentration may be required for direct detection using primary antibody conjugates than for indirect detection with secondary antibody
