Alpha-2C adrenergic receptors (alpha2C-AR) regulate neurotransmitter release from sympathetic nerves in the heart, and from adrenergic neurons in the central nervous system. alpha2C-AR can influence Parkinsons disease, panic disorders, and Huntington disease (HD) progression. alpha2C-AR transcripts are present in rat muscle, heart, pancreas, and kidney.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
