Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 51-100 of Human Cytochrome b5.
Conjugation:
Unconjugated
Alternative Names:
Cytochrome b5, Microsomal cytochrome b5 type A, MCB5, CYB5A, CYB5
Cytochrome b5 is a membrane-bound member of the cytochrome b family. A heme protein that functions as an electron carrier for many membrane-bound oxygenases, cytochrome b5 possesses two heme groups, which are not covalently attached to the protein. Two isoforms of cytochrome b5, a microsomal membrane-bound form and a cytoplasmic form, are produced by alternative splicing. Mutations in cytochrome b5 are associated with Lebers hereditary optic neuropathy and with myopathy.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Form:
Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2
