Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 161-210 of Human Rad51C.
Conjugation:
Unconjugated
Alternative Names:
DNA repair protein RAD51 homolog 3, R51H3, RAD51 homolog C, RAD51-like protein 2, RAD51C, RAD51L2
The process of homologous recombination is a major DNA repair pathway that operates on DNA double-strand breaks to promote error-free repair. Human Rad51 protein assembles on a DNA molecule through cooperative binding and forms a long filament for homologous recombination. In addition to Rad51 protein, five paralogs have been identified in vertebrates, Rad51B, Rad51C, Rad51D, Xrcc2 and Xrcc3. Rad51C binds single- and double-stranded DNA and preferentially binds 3-end-tailed double-stranded DNA. Rad51C is expressed in a variety of tissues, with highest expression in testis, heart muscle, spleen and prostate.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Form:
Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2
Application Dilute:
WB: 1:500~1:1000 IHC: 1:50~1:200 IF: 1:50~1:200
Application Notes:
Rad51C (E185) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of Rad51C protein.
