Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 70-120 of Human BMP-8.
Conjugation:
Unconjugated
Alternative Names:
Bone morphogenetic protein 8B, BMP-8, BMP-8B, Osteogenic protein 2, OP-2, BMP8B, BMP8, Bone morphogenetic protein 8A, BMP-8A, BMP8A
Bone morphogenic proteins (BMPs) are members of the TGFbeta superfamily. BMPs are involved in the induction of cartilage and bone formation.BMP-8 is thought to be involved in early development, as detectable expression has not been found in adult organs. Two BMP-8 proteins exist, namely BMP-8A and BMP-8B (also designated OP-2), and are encoded by two distinct genes.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Form:
Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2
Application Dilute:
IHC: 1:50~1:200
Application Notes:
BMP-8 (E90) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of BMP-8A and BMP-8B protein.
