Two forms of interleukin-1, designated IL-1alpha and IL-1beta, have been described. Although encoded by distinct genes and exhibiting roughly only 25% sequence identity, IL-1alpha and IL-1beta bind to the same receptor and seem to elicit similar biological responses.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Form:
Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2
Application Dilute:
WB 1:500 - 1:1000 IHC 1:100 - 1:200
Application Notes:
IL-1beta polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of IL-1beta protein.
