Splicing factor 3B subunit 4, Pre-mRNA-splicing factor SF3b 49 kDa subunit, Spliceosome-associated protein 49, SAP 49, SF3B4, SAP49
SF3B4 is part of the SF3b complex which associates with the U2 snRNP component of the spliceosome and is essential for spliceosome assembly. SF3B4 can associate with BMPR-1A to inhibit BMP-mediated cell differentiation. Haploinsufficiency of SF3B4 has been described in Nager syndrome, a disease of craniofacial malformation condition. Increased copy number of SF3B4 has been shown to play a role in hepatocellular carcinoma progression.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
