Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Cytokeratin 8 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 432.
Conjugation:
Unconjugated
Alternative Names:
Keratin, type II cytoskeletal 8, Cytokeratin-8, CK-8, Keratin-8, Short name=K8, Type-II keratin Kb8, KRT8, CYK8
Cytokeratin 8 belongs to the type B (basic) subfamily of high molecular weight keratins and exists in combination with cytokeratin 18. Cytokeratin 8 is primarily found in the non squamous epithelia and is present in majority of adenocarcinomas and ductal carcinomas. It is absent in squamous cell carcinomas. Hepatocellular carcinomas are defined by the use of antibodies that recognize only cytokeratin polypeptides 8 and 18.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Form:
Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2
Application Dilute:
WB:1:500~1:1000 IHC:1:50~1:200 IF:1:50~1:200
Application Notes:
Cytokeratin 8 (Phospho-S432) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of Cytokeratin 8 protein only when phosphorylated at Ser432.
