Dofequidar (MS-209 free base) is an orally bioavailable quinoline-based compound that functions as a multidrug resistance (MDR) inhibitor by targeting efflux transporters such as ABCB1/P-gp and ABCC1/MRP1. It has been investigated in vitro and in vivo to sensitize cancer cells to chemotherapeutic agents and overcome treatment resistance.
