4-Isopropoxybenzaldehyde is a potent and selective ALDH1A3 inhibitor (IC50 = 0.26 µM) that also acts as an ALDH3A1 substrate. While it demonstrates utility in enzymatic studies for aldehyde dehydrogenase research, it exhibits weak antiproliferative activity in prostate cancer cell lines such as PC3, LNCaP, and DU145.
