XY-4 is a selective PPARgamma agonist derived from 1-palmitoyl LPA, activating PPRE-driven gene expression in macrophages at 5 µM. At 1 µM, it promotes in vitro platelet aggregation and induces neointima formation in rat carotid arteries, making it a useful research tool for studying vascular remodeling and PPARgamma signaling without LPA receptor agonism.
