Maximin 78 is an antimicrobial peptide with antibacterial activity against C. albicans, S. aureus, and B. subtilis, exhibiting minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of 37.5, 4.7, and 37.5 µg/mL, respectively. Additionally, this compound has hemolytic activities against human and rabbit red cells.
