Hyaluronidase degrades hyaluronan and has been found to be inappropriately regulated during cancer progression. These enzymes randomly cleave beta-N-acetylhexosamine-[14] glycosidic bonds in hyaluronic acid, chondroitin, and chondroitin sulfates.
