Anti-Rat IgM antibody generated in rabbit specifically detects rat IgM mu heavy chain. Immunoglobulin M is the largest antibody isotype and the first to be secreted against an initial exposure to antigen. IgM is predominantly produced in the spleen. Form

Ig
Buffer:
0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2
Purity:
This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by cross adsorption to remove any unwanted reactivities and extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Rabbit Serum, Rat IgM and Rat Serum. No reaction was observed against Rat IgG.

Secondary Antibody
Application Dilute:
ELISA Dilution: 1:10,000 - 1:50,000, Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:500 - 1:2,500, Western Blot Dilution: 1:1,000 - 1:10,000
Application Notes:
This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Rat IgM in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:3,500 to 1:15,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.
