UAMC-4821 is a next generation ferrostatin-like ferroptosis inhibitor with improved potency (IC50 = 5.2 nM), oral bioavailability, and the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. It displays good microsomal stability and low clearance in vivo in mice.
