Neuromedin B (porcine) is a mammalian bombesin like peptide first isolated from pig spinal cord, and is the endogenous ligand for the neuromedin B receptor. Neuromedin B (porcine) is found in the central nervous system as well as in the gastrointestinal tract, the physiological effects of neuromedin B (porcine) include regulation of exocrine and endocrine secretions, as well as smooth muscle contraction, feeding, blood pressure, blood glucose, body temperature and cell growth.
