4-Azidobutylamine is a PROTAC linker, which refers to the alkyl chain composition. 4-Azidobutylamine can be used in the synthesis of a series of PROTACs. PROTACs contain two different ligands connected by a linker, one is a ligand for an E3 ubiquitin ligase and the other is for the target protein. PROTACs exploit the intracellular ubiquitin-proteasome system to selectively degrade target proteins[1]. 4-Azidobutylamine is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
