Granotapide is an orally active microsomal triglyceride transfer protein (MTP) inhibitor. Granotapide reduces the absorption of cholesterol and triglycerides by inhibiting MTP. Granotapide can be used in the research of coronary artery disease, obesity, diabetes mellitus and hypertension[1].
