NSC47924 is a 37/67kDa laminin receptor (LR) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 58.9 µM. NSC47924 inhibits RPSA to downregulate the overactivated Akt/mTOR signaling axis, thereby stimulating the autophagic pathway and repairing the impaired mitophagic process. NSC47924 effectively blocks the adhesion between tumor cells and basement membrane mediated by 67LR, thus inhibiting the migration and invasion of cancer cells. By promoting the internalization and degradation of 37/67 kDa LR while trapping PrPC on the cell surface, it exhibits potential anti-prion activity.
