Bactobolin C is an antibiotic produced by Pseudomonas sp. BMG13A7, which has strong antimicrobial and antitumor activities, can also inhibit antibody production and treat autoimmune encephalomyelitis. However, its undesirable toxicity limits its medicinal application. So far, the structural modification of Bactobolin C has mainly focused on the hydroxyl groups on the amino acid side chains and backbone.
