(gamma-AmNS)UTP (trisodium) is a fluorescent derivative of UTP and enables the detection of RNA polymerase activity. Incorporation of UMP in RNA results in the release of gamma-AmNS-PPi, which has higher intrinsic fluorescence than (gamma-AmNS) UTP. (gamma-AmNS)UTP (trisodium) can be used for antibacterial and antituberculosis agents study[1].
