GTPgammaS (Guanosine 5-[gamma-thio]triphosphate) is a G-protein activator that protects proteins from proteolytic degradation, stimulates GLUT4 translocation in a tyrosine kinase-dependent manner, stimulate phospholipases and induce actin polymerization. GTPgammaS to couple with G- protein alpha, to study its effect on kinase activity. GTPgammaS acts as a component of lysis buffer[1][2][3][4].
